SecurityOne Terms of Use
Effective Date: July 30, 2026
Last Updated: September 3, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SecurityOne mobile application ("SecurityOne", "the app", "we", "us", or "our").
Please read these Terms carefully. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using SecurityOne, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use SecurityOne.
1. Service Description
SecurityOne is an on-device personal security and privacy tool. Its features may include:
- Photo Security: identifies photos that may contain private or sensitive information.
- Private Space: protects photos you choose to move into a PIN-protected local space.
- Anti-Theft Alarm: detects selected device events, such as device movement or charger removal, after you actively enable the feature.
- WiFi Security: checks basic WiFi risk indicators and network stability.
- Password Safety: checks password strength locally and provides password generation suggestions.
- Website Protection: checks suspicious links locally and helps guide Safari protection setup.
- Settings: provides permission status, support, rating, legal documents, and app information.
SecurityOne provides personal security prompts and local privacy tools. It does not provide professional cybersecurity auditing, legal advice, financial advice, emergency services, theft prevention guarantees, or law enforcement assistance.
2. Eligibility and Use Requirements
You may use SecurityOne only if you can lawfully enter into these Terms and use the app under the laws that apply to you.
You are responsible for ensuring that:
- You have the right to install and use SecurityOne on your device.
- You have the right to access, scan, move, import, or delete the photos you choose to process.
- You do not use SecurityOne to violate another person’s privacy, monitor others unlawfully, harass others, steal data, or engage in illegal activity.
- You comply with applicable laws, platform rules, and these Terms.
If you use SecurityOne on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.
3. Local Data and Device Responsibility
SecurityOne does not require an account for the current version. App data is designed to be stored locally on your device.
You are responsible for your device security, system permissions, PIN, backups, and local data management. Deleting SecurityOne, resetting Private Space, deleting photos from Private Space, or clearing local data may permanently remove data that cannot be recovered.
4. Photo Security and Private Space
Photo Security analyzes photos you authorize the app to access. Scan results may be incomplete or inaccurate and may include false positives or missed items.
Private Space stores local copies of photos you choose to move into it and protects access with a PIN.
You understand and agree that:
- Moving photos into Private Space may not automatically delete the originals from the system photo library.
- If you choose to delete original photos from the system photo library, you are responsible for confirming the consequences.
- Deleting SecurityOne, resetting Private Space, or deleting photos from Private Space may permanently delete those photos.
- SecurityOne cannot recover your PIN.
- If Face ID or Touch ID is not available for PIN reset, resetting Private Space may be the only available recovery option and will delete photos stored in Private Space.
5. Anti-Theft Alarm
Anti-Theft Alarm must be actively enabled by you. Due to iOS system limitations, it works only while SecurityOne is open and active in the foreground.
You understand and agree that:
- SecurityOne cannot prevent someone from turning off your device, locking your device, force-quitting the app, changing system settings, or physically taking the device.
- Alarm volume may be affected by system media volume, silent mode, headphones, Bluetooth audio output, and other system limitations.
- Motion detection, charger removal detection, sensor readings, and alarm triggering may be affected by device state, system behavior, and the surrounding environment.
- Intruder photo works only if you enable the feature, camera permission is available, the app is in the foreground, and the front camera is available.
- Anti-Theft Alarm is not a replacement for a dedicated alarm device, tracking device, insurance, law enforcement assistance, or emergency services.
You must not use Anti-Theft Alarm for unlawful photography, unlawful monitoring, harassment, stalking, or any activity that infringes the rights of others.
6. WiFi Security
WiFi Security checks current WiFi connection status, public network risk, IP location, upload speed, download speed, and network latency.
You understand and agree that:
- Results are risk indicators only and do not guarantee that all unsafe networks will be detected.
- WiFi name availability, IP location, speed, and latency may be affected by system permissions, network conditions, carriers, servers, and location.
- Labels such as "Safe", "Attention", or "Risk" are only app-level risk prompts based on available information and are not guarantees of safety.
- Even if no risk is detected, you should use caution when logging in, making payments, uploading files, or performing sensitive actions.
7. Password Safety
Password Safety analyzes password strength locally on your device and provides password generation suggestions.
You understand and agree that:
- Password strength ratings and suggestions are for reference only and do not guarantee security.
- Generated passwords, PINs, numbers, or passphrases must be saved and managed by you.
- SecurityOne does not store, sync, recover, or manage your passwords.
- You should avoid displaying sensitive passwords in public places or on untrusted devices.
8. Website Protection
Website Protection uses local rules and a local database to check suspicious links. Safari protection uses Safari Content Blocker to block known risky links included in local rules.
You understand and agree that:
- Results do not guarantee detection of all phishing sites, malicious sites, scams, or unsafe links.
- "No Known Threats Detected" means no risk was found in the current local rules and local database. It does not mean the website is absolutely safe.
- Safari Content Blocker must be enabled manually in iOS Settings.
- SecurityOne cannot determine the safety of every website, transaction, download, login, or online interaction.
9. User Conduct
You must not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, modify, tamper with, or bypass the app’s security mechanisms, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Use SecurityOne to violate privacy, take unlawful photos, monitor others unlawfully, collect others’ information unlawfully, or harass others.
- Send, store, or distribute illegal, infringing, malicious, fraudulent, or harmful content through any support or communication channel.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or overuse any servers, network endpoints, speed test resources, or services related to the app.
- Use SecurityOne in violation of applicable law, third-party rights, Apple rules, or these Terms.
10. Intellectual Property
SecurityOne, including its interface, icons, text, code, design, feature logic, databases, trademarks, and other content, is protected by intellectual property and other laws.
Except as permitted by applicable law, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, or otherwise exploit any part of SecurityOne without prior written permission.
11. Apple and System Services
SecurityOne relies on iOS system capabilities and Apple-provided services, including Photo Library, Camera, Face ID, Touch ID, Safari Content Blocker, Mail, and App Store rating.
These capabilities are controlled by Apple and may be subject to Apple’s terms, policies, system limitations, and availability. SecurityOne cannot guarantee that these system capabilities will always be available, accurate, or unchanged.
12. Subscriptions, Billing, Free Trials, and Refunds
SecurityOne may offer auto-renewable subscription plans that provide access to subscription-only features identified in the app.
The subscription plan, billing period, localized price, free-trial period, introductory offer, and included features shown on the purchase screen and in Apple’s purchase confirmation apply to your purchase.
You understand and agree that:
- Payment will be charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription automatically renews for the applicable billing period unless you cancel it before Apple processes the renewal. Apple may charge your account within 24 hours before the current subscription period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription through Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your Apple device. Deleting SecurityOne does not cancel an active subscription.
- If an eligible free trial or introductory offer is provided, its duration and subsequent price will be displayed before purchase. Unless you cancel before the offer ends, the subscription will automatically continue at the regular price and billing period displayed at purchase.
- Eligibility for free trials and promotional offers is determined by Apple and may be limited to eligible users or Apple Accounts.
- Subscription prices and available plans may vary by country or region. The price and currency displayed by Apple at the time of purchase control.
- You may use Restore Purchases to restore an active subscription associated with the same Apple Account. Restoring purchases does not initiate a new purchase.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless Apple specifies otherwise. You will retain access to subscription features until that period ends.
- When a subscription expires, is cancelled, refunded, or revoked, access to subscription-only features may end. Existing photos already stored in Private Space will not be deleted solely because the subscription ends and may continue to be viewed, restored, or deleted using the available app controls.
- Billing, cancellations, and refunds are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s policies and applicable law. SecurityOne does not independently process or guarantee refunds. Refund requests may be submitted through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Apple Support.
Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights available to you under applicable consumer protection law.
13. Changes, Suspension, and Termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of SecurityOne as needed for product, technical, legal, or operational reasons.
You may stop using and delete SecurityOne at any time. Deleting SecurityOne may also delete local app data, including photos stored in Private Space, alarm records, website check history, and settings.
14. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SecurityOne is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee that:

- SecurityOne will be free from system limitations, network issues, device failures, or changes to third-party or Apple services.
You are responsible for deciding whether to rely on app prompts, scan results, checks, suggestions, and generated content.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SecurityOne will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, photos, passwords, device access, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to:

- Inaccurate, delayed, unavailable, or incomplete app results.

- Device loss, damage, theft, or unauthorized use.
- Network risks, website risks, password compromise, phishing, fraud, or third-party conduct.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, the limitations above apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
16. Consumer Rights in Certain Regions
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country or region.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States, or another region with mandatory consumer protection rules, you may have additional legal rights that cannot be excluded by these Terms.
17. Export Control and Sanctions
You are responsible for complying with applicable export control, sanctions, and trade laws. You may not use SecurityOne where such use is prohibited by applicable law.
18. Privacy
